I want to practice yoga and I want it to mean something to me.
I want to be less of a talker and more of a listener.
I will not harbour any unhealthy thoughts anymore.
I want to become more spiritually connected to myself.
Calm.
Quiet.
Serene.

my fav yoga teacher told me once that you should just keep doing the physical yoga practice, over and over, and don’t worry about the spiritual aspect of it. because that can’t forced, but it does come, in time, with dedicated physical practice.
even though i’m 0% spiritual, the proof is in the (vegan) pudding – i’ve been practicing for a couple years and just lately i’m getting a LOT more out of each practice than what i physically put in.

Hey dude – thanks for the advice. I hear ya on that for sure. I know that it will come with time, but I feel that it is just me, my yoga mat, a video tape of a woman telling me to breathe correctly and me, huffing and puffing away. I’m thinking ‘ok, where is the Zen?’ and then collapse into a big sweaty heap.
That being said, it is totally worth it and what this should be helping me out with is my patience. Thanks for the chin up buddy, I’ll definitely keep at ‘er.
